La Giolitta pays close attention to respecting the environment, and we reduce the impact of our business in several ways. Below are the measures we have implemented so far.

We avoid plastic whenever possible
We have water tapper available to guests free of charge to avoid the sale of plastic bottles.
We offer aluminum water bottles for your excursions.
Cosmetic bath products are dispensed from a dispenser to avoid the waste of disposable products typical of hotel facilities.
The beverages we offer are mostly in glass bottles. -
We reduce water consumption
Faucets are equipped with misting filters to reduce water and energy consumption.

We recycle everything
In addition to sorting all leftovers, we also recover materials normally excluded from recycling such as wine bottle corks. In the kitchen you will find an ArmorimCork Ethical box dedicated to this purpose.

We avoid materials that cannot be recycled
The espresso machine does not use filters or capsules but grinds coffee beans directly.

We promote sustainable and car-free tourism
We offer the possibility of staying without the use of an automobile. Thanks to the location in the historic center of Barolo you can easily reach restaurants, wine bars, wineries and other places of interest on foot. Instead, using comfortable electric bicycles you can explore the surroundings and reach other Langhe villages with wonderful scenic routes. We will be happy to recommend trekking and hiking trails through the surrounding UNESCO landscapes.
